Fishing Tips & Tactics
Catching fish is less about secret lures and more about being perceptive. Being able to understand where the fish hang out, what they're feeding on, and how the water conditions are that day are far more important than having the most expensive tackle.
These guides are written for anglers who are still figuring it out, and for the in-between angler who catches fish but wants to understand why. Each one tells you where a species lives, when it bites, what to throw, how to work it, and the mistakes that can cost beginners their first fish.
One ground rule before you go: we never print size limits, bag limits, slot sizes, or season dates. Those change constantly and differ by state, water body, and sometimes by the week. Always check your current state regulations before you keep a fish — it's the law, and it's how the fishing stays good.
