FishCondish ("the app," "we," "us") provides real-time fishing conditions, scores, and forecasts. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the limited cases in which it leaves your device. We designed FishCondish to work without accounts and to collect as little as possible. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
The short version
- The app uses your location to fetch fishing conditions near you. Your location is sent to weather and tide data providers to retrieve that data; it is not stored by us or tied to your identity.
- If you opt into condition alerts, you provide an email address so we can send those alerts. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics to understand how the app is used. This does not track you across other apps or websites.
- Your saved spots and personal catch log are stored on your device, not on our servers.
- We do not sell personal data and do not use it for advertising.
Information we handle
Location
When you tap to use your current location, or search by city or zip code, the app uses that location to request conditions — weather, tides, marine data, and forecasts — for the area. Location data is transmitted to third-party data providers (listed below) to fulfill those requests. We do not store your location on our servers, and it is not associated with your identity.
Email address (optional)
If you choose to set up condition alerts, you provide an email address. We store it solely to send the alerts you requested and the threshold you set. Every alert includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address. We do not use your email for marketing.
Feedback you submit (optional)
If you submit feedback through the app, we store the text of your message so we can read and act on it. The feedback form does not require or capture an email address or other identifier.
Usage and analytics
We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate usage — such as which features are used and general performance. This analytics is privacy-friendly and does not use this data to track you across other apps or websites, and is not tied to your identity.
Saved spots and catch log (stored on your device)
Your saved spots and your personal catch log — including any conditions snapshots saved with each entry — are stored locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not visible to us. Removing the app removes this data.
Third-party services
FishCondish relies on third-party services to deliver conditions and core features. When the app makes a request, only the information needed to fulfill it (such as the location or conditions context) is shared with the relevant provider. These providers process data under their own privacy policies.

How we use information
- To deliver fishing conditions, scores, and forecasts for the location you choose.
- To send condition alerts you have opted into.
- To read and respond to feedback you submit.
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the app.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not use your data for advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not require an account to use the app.
Data retention
We keep your alert email address until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed. Feedback you submit is retained so we can act on it. Analytics data is aggregate. Location data used to fetch conditions is not retained by us.
Your choices
- You can decline or revoke location access in your device settings; you can still search by city or zip.
- You can unsubscribe from alerts at any time via the link in any alert email.
- You can clear your saved spots and catch log by clearing app data or removing the app.
- To request deletion of any information associated with you, contact us at the address below.
Children's privacy
FishCondish is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and significant changes will be reflected on this page.
